Discuss the comprehensive school counseling program with the school administrator Develop and maintain a written plan for effective delivery of the school counseling program based on the Arkansas Comprehensive School Counseling Standard Course of Study and current individual school data Communicate the goals of the comprehensive school counseling program to education stakeholders (i.
e.
administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community/business leaders) Maintain current and appropriate resources for education stakeholders School counselors shall spend at least ninety percent (90%) of work time each month during the school year providing direct counseling related to students and shall devote no more than ten percent (10%) of work time each month during the school year to administrative activities provided that the activities relate to the provision of guidance services.

cont'd Provide appropriate information to school personnel related to the comprehensive school counseling program Assist teachers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders in interpreting and understanding student data Participate in professional development meetings and activates to improve knowledge and skills Uses available technology resources to enhance the school counseling program Adhere to laws, policies, procedures, and ethical standards of the school counseling profession Conduct a yearly program audit to review extent of program implementation and effectiveness Collect and analyze data to guide program direction and emphasis Measure results of the comprehensive school counseling program activities and shares results as appropriate with relevant stakeholders Academic advisement for class selection by establishing academic goals in primary, elementary, middle and high school Monitor student academic performance, behavior, and attendance and facilitates appropriate interventions Counsels/Guides students and parents in use of test results for education/career planning.
Involved in student orientation process Assist in scheduling career track planning and communicate information with students, staff, and parents Attend parent/community events as requested and/or needed Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met Display professionalism in appearance, attitude, and actions Follow all legal and ethical behaviors for educators Oversee the Social/Emotional Program in our school.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
